Catch A Glimpse of This Surpise Show At OK Cider Co.
There's no secret that Oklahoma is bustling with live music. Nearly every area of the state has at least one popular live music venue to get your kicks. Right now, during festival season, you'll likely see your go-to country, soft and classic rock performers everywhere you turn. But are you ready to catch something just as good, but much different?
A Happy Accident
A friend of mine, David Thompson, shared that he was on a mission in Oklahoma City and stumbled upon a one of a kind live music experience. Not like your normal "watch from the audience" live music show, but one where the artists were walking around the floor, interacting with the crowd and singing some of the hardest notes to hit in opera.
You heard right: downtown Oklahoma City hosts opera music. He actually found himself at one of the rarest events this venue hosts called the Aria Grab Bag: Italian edition. The venue's audience members drew names from a bag which determined who sang next and what they sang.
David found himself at OK Cider Co. near the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Just from the few videos he shared, it seemed like an experience that every theatre kid could've ever dreamed of. It left quite the impression on him, as well.
"When we walked in it was like a listening room experience. No talking and no one on their phones. And the singing was super awesome," my friend told me.
OK Cider Company
Many may not know about the cidery's opera talents, but there are quite a few people who know about this venue specifically for the ciders they serve.

For the second year, the OK Cider Co. was recently named one of the 10 Best Cideries in the U.S. according to U.S.A. Today.
Their next big event looks like a forensics night that puts every true crime lover's skills to the test. To find out more events that they host, including another opera themed event, check out the OK Cider Company's social media.
