When You See Someone Following You, Escape Here in Oklahoma
In the last post, we were talking about how to tell if someone is following you in Oklahoma. Say you found out that they are, now what? Here are the steps you should take to keep yourself safe if someone is following you.
1. Do Not Confront Them
Some folks have success stories with walking up to the person they think is following them, but there's a huge risk that comes with doing so. If the person following you has a weapon, you're putting yourself right in striking range.
There have also been accounts of multiple people working together for human trafficking or abduction cases, so even if you approach one, you let down your gaurd to the others (if there are others).

The best option is to put as much distance between you and the suspected stalker as possible.
2. Tell Someone You're Afraid You're Being Followed
No one can help you if they don't know you're in need of help. If you're thinking someone's following you, tell another group of people or someone in authority wherever you are.
3. Make A Mental Note About Details
Like one Quora user said, take a mental note of, well, everything.
"Note clothes and attributes of people suspicious. Watch for people in reflections - shop windows are good for this." -Kieth White, Quora
What were they wearing? Piercings or tattoos? How tall were they? What direction did they come from? If you think someone is following you, chances are they've done this to someone else or could do it to another person. Any information that you have on that person could help another victim in the future.
4. Be Aware of Your Surroundings
Some places, people will try to get you where you're alone or where you're least protected. Like, for instance, parking lots - and not just in the evening, either.

Pay attention to where they are and where you are and put distance between the two of you.
@everydayarmor IF YOU’RE BEING FOLLOWED DO THIS and always trust your gut. You want to avoid ever closing the gap between them and you or immediately going on your phone where you may lose time! Have your head up, show you are confident and keep as much distance between the two of you as possible! #walkingalone #walkingaloneatnight #summersafety #safetyforwomen #selfdefenseforwomen #selfdefense ♬ original sound - Everyday Armor
