Luke Bryan Reveals How He + Caroline Keep Their Marriage Fresh

Luke Bryan just released his new album, Mind of a Country Boy, and it features some very personal songs that will no doubt resonate with his fans.

One of the songs on the record is titled "For the Kids," and it is all about a couple doing what it takes to make it through a sometimes-mundane relationship for the sake of their children.

Bryan sat down with host Evan Paul on Taste of Country Nights, and they dove into how he and his wife, Caroline, have made sure not to become what the song is about.

The "Love You, Miss You, Mean It" singer started spilling the tea on how he and Caroline keep it interesting in their relationship after all these years.

"I think every married couple kinda goes through that, to where the kids are really the focal point of everything going on. Sometimes Caroline and I will really have to force ourselves to sit down and book a trip without the kids."

But, Bryan explains how that couples trip tends to expand.

"A lot of times, ya know, we claim to go on vacation, and then next thing ya know you take the kids, and they bring friends and then it's not really a vacation, you know, you just traded one stressful situation and just, ya know, put it by the beach."

Bryan then gave out the secret recipe to keeping the marriage fresh.

"Caroline and I have to, we try and make sure, hey, 'Let's go take some us time.'"

The "Down to One" singer further explained how sometimes kids can be the glue for a relationship that is struggling to stay connected.

"You see a lot of married couples that they get married, they stay married five or six years, they don't have kids, and the kids didn't keep 'em together and make 'em fight through it. They just say, 'Welp,' then they give up and divorce."

Bryan isn't necessarily saying that he and Caroline have had that issue, but he is also not saying they didn't or don't.

But one thing is for sure; he is laying down some good groundwork for his kids and his family and making sure they are all loved and taken care of.

Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline are known for their wild pranks and great senses of humor, but what makes this marriage work is a connection that runs deep.

The couple have known each other since their college days at Georgia Southern University. Their love didn't click immediately (at least, not for Caroline) and they eventually split. However, after a few years apart, the couple would eventually recognize what they had in each other after reconnecting years later.

Fast forward to today and the Bryans have been married for nearly two decades and share two sons, Bo and Tate. They also serve as guardians of their nieces Kris and Jordan, as well as their nephew Tilden.
