What We Learned Seeing Post Malone's F-1 Trillion Truck Up Close

Post Malone was not joking when he said an actual pickup truck was dropped nose-first into a lake to capture the perfect photo for his F-1 Trillion cover art.

In fact, we've seen the truck in person with our own eyes.

To catch you up, the now-iconic Ford has been making a few stops across the country for fans to see up close. It's been in Nashville, then Dallas, and it is now making its way to Midvale, Utah.

We snagged some quality time with Posty's cover art truck in the Lone Star State at a Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. To be fair, it's the restaurant Posty designed himself.

Post Malone's F-1 Trillion Truck Is Indeed Real

This goes without saying, and we have the receipts below, but the truck is a real truck. It's a blue 1971 Ford F-100 Sport Custom pickup truck, made in the USA.

The back bumper reads "Keating Ford" on one side and "Crosby, Texas" on the other. We're guessing it was originally sold at a Keating Ford in Crosby back in the day.

There Is No Engine

It's unclear if the F-100 had an engine in it when it was dropped, but the engine bay is clearly empty now. Given the damage done to the front of the truck and the way the frame is bent inward, we'd say it's unlikely there wasn't anything in there when it was dropped. Also, why would you drop a fully-loaded truck?

The Windshield May Have Been Blown Out Upon Impact

Aside from a back window (with what looks like a "Mejia" decal), there is no other glass surrounding the cab. It's possible that the side windows have been rolled down for viewing, but the windshield is nowhere to be found.

Malone has been documenting the entire cover art project on social media, devoting an entire Instagram page to it. In the photo showing the truck hitting the water, it's very clear the windshield is intact.

The Truck Features Two Different License Plates

The truck has two different license plates on it. The ones that are screwed onto the front and back bumper read "JW-80-180" from Jalisco, Mexico. A separate plate sits behind the passenger seat, up against the back window. It reads "JE-74-118."

The Truck Is Pretty Naked

Looking in the bed of the truck, the dashboard looks like it has been stripped of any electronics. There are gaping holes around the steering wheel, the radio appears to have been ripped out, and even the glovebox hangs open, revealing nothing inside.

The bench seat appears to be in good condition, despite being in the water for who knows how long. The signature "Sport Custom" is stitched into the back panel of each seat.

What's Next for Malone's F-1 Trillion Truck?

The Ford spent its last day in Dallas on Thursday (Aug. 28). A social media post shared by Raising Cane's says its next stop will be at another franchise location in Midvale, Utah. This one also has a special place in Malone's heart, as its closest one to his home in Salt Lake City.
