Riley Green’s New Bar ‘Duck Blind’ Is a Far Cry From Other Celebrity-Curated Bars
Riley Green might have set a record for fastest opening of a new bar.
While some artists have take months or even more than a year to open up their own watering holes — most of them in Nashville — Green's Duck Blind is already serving customers. A permit was filed for the project on Aug. 7, and according to social media, the bar was open ahead of Labor Day Weekend.
"@duckblindnash is OPEN," Instagram user Nashville_Stacy writes alongside a video. "This is the perfect spot to watch football & I love the garage doors, big screen TVs, and the intentional homage to Winners. The upstairs isn’t open yet."
Where Is Riley Green's Bar, Duck Blind?
Riley Green's bar is in the Midtown area of Nashville, at 1913 Division Street.
One of the reasons Duck Blind was able to open so quickly is because it took over the old Winners Bar & Grill location. Earlier this year, the bar announced it would be undergoing construction, with a new concept coming in the fall.
From what we can tell, the outside was given a facelift to appear more like a duck blind that a hunter would use. The inside looks like a casual sports bar that caters specifically to fans looking for a spot away from downtown to camp out for long day of football. The space features plenty of seating and massive television screens on the walls.
The new bar doesn't appear to boast anything specifically-related to Green or his music. Other artist-curated bars feature decor, menu items and other elements that transport guests into the world of that star. Green's is rather simple.
Riley Green Shows Love to Winners Bar & Grill
Duck Blind is not shying away from its roots: Nashville's newest game-day spot pays homage to Winners by keeping the original stage for live music, as well as the iconic bar top that reads "WINNERS." Stacy's video also notes that the new bar still connects to Losers.
Details about what the upstairs portion of the bar is like have yet to be confirmed.
