Wynonna Judd Reveals Vegas Residency With a Little Help From Her Farm
Wynonna Judd is headed to Vegas, baby!
The country legend is celebrating 40 years in country music this year, and to celebrate, she's set for a three-date Las Vegas residency at the city's Venetian Resort. Billed as Wynonna Judd: The Greatest Hits, the three-night affair will feature songs from all eras of her catalog and revisit some of the biggest hits she recorded as one-half of the mother-daughter duo The Judds.
"Sometimes I feel like you just need to throw a big party for yourself! This is a milestone year for me," Judd says in a statement.
"Mom and I played our very first show in 1984, which means I've been performing live for 40 years. That's more than half my life!" she continues. "The Greatest Hits celebration is a chance for the fans and I to celebrate. They have been with me for so long and my hope is that everyone will get to hear their favorite song. How many hits can we fit into one show? Let's find out!"
Over the course of her 40 years in country music, Judd's fans have gotten to know and love her particular brand of humor — and that humor was on full display when she announced her residency with a social media video post. Judd enlisted a round-up of her farm animals, plus her husband Cactus Moser, to create an energetic and wonderfully kooky video to get listeners in the Vegas spirit.
Judd's residency will take place at the Venetian Theatre inside the Venetian Resort Las Vegas on December 11, 13 and 14. All dates go on sale to the general public July 12, but a variety of presales will begin this week.
