You better move fast if you are craving a juicy burger and delicious, frozen custard shake in Texas because there are about to be less options to visit in the Lone Star State as two Houston locations of Shake Shack have already announced they will be closing in less than a month. From a small burger stand in a Manhattan, New York City park to now over 300 locations across America and over 500 around the world.

Texas is home to the third most Shake Shacks, but that number is shrinking and current trends certainly point to once a place is gone, it is gone for good. This news is particularly devastating for regulars at the Houston Galleria on Westheimer Road because the largest shopping mall in Texas is about to be without an affordable dining option many could take their families.

Looks like Wetzel's Pretzels are going to have to do it this upcoming holiday shopping season. The Montrose location, also on Westheimer Road, will also be closing their Shake Shake within the next 30 days as both are expected to be out of business by September 25th.

Shake Shack Latest To Be Closing In Texas

In total, 9 Shake Shacks are closing soon with Ohio and California joining Texas on the chopping block. The company does not believe anymore will close anytime soon, but felt the need to shutter the 9 underperforming stores mentioned in this USA Today article.
