The sharks at the Oklahoma Aquarium are also closely studied by researchers and scientists to gain a better understanding of their behaviors and health. Sadly the bull shark is becoming "Near Threatened" on the IUCN Red List. This is due to human encounters and the sharks being hunted and killed for their fins, for sport, and for the aggressive reputation they have. They have a lot more to fear from us humans than we do of them.
