Get ready, the one and only Chef Gordon Ramsay is coming to OKC! That's right, the star of Hell's Kitchen, MasterChef, and Kitchen Nightmares is planning on opening a new restaurant at Chisholm Creek, Oklahoma City's premier entertainment district.
Now this is a really cool idea and one I would have never thought of. There's a dog park that's also a restaurant and pub in Oklahoma City called Solo's Park & Pub. It's located at 13310 Pawnee Drive in OKC so it's just a short trip down I-44 and about an hour or so away from Lawton, Fort Sill. It's the perfect place to take the entire family, including the dog!
The 11:00pm curfew for Oklahoma bars and restaurants has been lifted! Over the past 2 days a lot has happened with the mandatory curfew and the extension of Oklahoma's COVID-19 state of emergency orders or mandates. Earlier this week news broke that District Judge Susan Stallings extended a temporary restraining order that put a hold on the enforcement of the curfew for the next 6 months. Several Oklahoma bars and restaurants have filed lawsuits over the curfew and challenged it's enforcement.
Unfortunately there's another local business closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Mountain Boomer Tavern announced last week that they would be closing their doors permanently.
Well the wait's almost over. Lawton bars, taverns and nightclubs will finally re-open this Friday (05-15-20). It's been a long time and I know the owners, operators and staff will be excited to return to work and to see all their usual customers.
