A few weeks back a birthday cake on social media went viral and it was all after a message attached to the photo.

I can't believe it's taken us this long, but we finally have a much more sanitary way of blowing out Birthday candles without getting germs all over the cake. All it took was a nationwide, better yet worldwide pandemic for us to change old habits and learn new ways to do things.

Yep, it’s that time of the year again. The 2015 Oscar nominations are here and it’s time for everyone to get outraged and cynical over which movies get the opportunity to take home statuettes of naked golden dudes. Sure, we always tell ourselves that the Academy Awards don’t really matter and that a film’s legacy will live or die for reasons beyond trophies, but we always end up getting angry about these things anyway. However, this year’s biggest snubs seems more egregious than usual and require slightly more yelling and stamping of feet.

As millions of families are sitting down to their traditional Thanksgiving feasts of oven baked or fried turkey, green bean casserole, stuffing, and multitudes of desserts. Some families will break with tradition to spice up this age old feast with such delicacies as Velveeta Cheesecake or bacon wrapped turkey and even more outlandish creations. As almost everyone knows, I don't cook.  It's not that I can't cook, it's just I don't like to do it. Yesterday I posted a recipe for an easy last minute Easter Cake.  It looked easy enough to make so I decided to try to bake it last night.  Here are the results:

Easter is such a fun holiday.  It is the beginning of spring and everything is new and bright and fun.  I was checking out the Taste of Home website and found a recipe for a really cute Easter cake made with Peeps.  The best part  - it's made with a box cake mix.
