The COVD-19 pandemic continues to create not only health risks but all kinds of other problems as well. One of the biggest has been shortages caused by panic buying and the disruption of supply lines. Luckily S.W. Oklahoma hasn't been hit quite as hard as the places.
It was just announced that LPS (Lawton Public Schools) will be temporarily closing down all of its campuses for in-person learning for the remainder of the week. All LPS schools will be closed starting tomorrow and since this Monday is a holiday "Martin Luther King Jr. Day" they'll remain closed through Tuesday, January 18th (01-18-22).
The Comanche County Health Department is hosting a drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinic and announced they'll be extending their hours on select dates to accommodate testing and vaccinations.
Soon, fans who attend Oklahoma City Thunder home games will no longer be required to provide proof of vaccination of a negative COVID-19 test to get into the Paycom Center.
