Congratulations to Andy McQueen he was our winner of the "Ultimate Father's Day Great Griddle Grill Giveaway" contest. Several entered and it was Andy who won! He came and picked up his brand new 36" Blackstone Griddle Grill and grill cover and is headed home for a BIG COOKOUT! We're not too sure if Andy will be giving the grill to his Dad as a Father's Day present, or keeping it for himself. Hey, he won it and can do with it as he wishes. Maybe they can work out some kind of joint-custody arrangement so everyone's happy.

It's hard to believe, but Memorial Day weekend is almost here! Take some time this weekend to honor and remember those service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our continued freedoms. They're the real reason that we live in the greatest country in the world!

It's hard to believe, Labor Day weekend is almost here! For the fair weather griller this will be the last big cook out of the season. For the rest of us it's just another great weekend that we'll be grilling and a three day weekend at that. Personally I don't care what Mother Nature's up to, I'll light the grill in the rain, snow, day, night, good or bad weather.

It's the great steak debate. What is the best type or cut of steak? I'm sure you have a favorite, that one steak that you prefer above all others. Tonight Kelso and I will hit the grill and kick the weekend off right with some perfectly seasoned, grilled, juicy and ever so delicious ribeyes. Let us praise and braise the flesh...I can taste them now!

Here's a quick tip on how you can check the level of propane in your tank.

Each grill has it's own pros and cons. Obviously charcoal takes more time but has better flavor. Propane is quick, gets the job done fast and evenly. Wood pellet has superior flavor, like charcoal it takes more time but it removes the typical charcoal and lighter fluid flavors that can be a problem with some meats.

If you thaw your steaks before throwing them on the grill, you've been doing it wrong.

While traditional preparations and fixings are always a hit, consider packing a little more punch with your dogs this summer. From exotic meat preparations to buns to tasty toppings, there is room for creativity.

Next to a steak on the grill, the next most favorite food is a hamburger. And I do not mean one of the frozen variety.
