Game of Thrones is normally one to employ its most gruesome and spectacular visuals in moderation, a point well-embodied by The Mountain’s undead (but heavily concealed) transformation. Season 6 offered a brief glimpse of the horror in shadow, but gaze for yourself into Ser Gregor Clegane’s putrid new visage.

Chances are, you or someone you know either shares their Netflix and HBO Go passwords or benefits from using someone else’s account. It’s such a common occurrence that, when asked about it, even the CEO of HBO was like, “No big deal,” then he tipped his shades and sent out a memo with a shrug emoticon — okay, I made that last part up, but if even that guy doesn’t care, then what’s the problem? Oh, just a little something called Federal Law.

HBO’s Westworld adaptation has often found itself the center of a larger narrative around the network’s expensive missteps, following production halts and rumors a premiere might be pushed to 2017. Not so, apparently, as HBO now confirms Westworld will bow in late 2016, along with Sarah Jessica Parker’s new show and others.

Game of Thrones Season 6 comes to an end in June (so soon!), but luckily HBO NOW has plenty of viewing options to help keep you occupied during your annual mourning period. Next month brings the premiere of HBO’s new weekly series Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons, hosted by the renowned sports analyst, author and ESPN vet. Cinephiles, meanwhile, will be thrilled to see the addition of Ridley Scott’s The Martian and (maybe) David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars. But more importantly, the epic Problem Child trilogy is coming to HBO NOW in June, giving you a chance to engage in a fierce familial debate over the finer points of Junior’s schemes — surely a more contentious topic than the resurrection of Jon Snow.

Game of Thrones Season 6 hasn’t picked up from a major Dorne shocker in the premiere, but as the release of George R.R. Martin’s latest Winds of Winter chapter reminds us, fans far prefer the nuanced storyline of the books to the show’s stunted adaptation. So much so, in fact, that some cheeky fans have raised over $20,000 (of $20 million) to “fix” the Dorne storyline by filming their own version.

Lord knows we’ve missed the genius of Jon Stewart’s late-night voice in these troubled times, and it’s been some time since HBO signed the former Daily Show host to a four-year development deal. We wouldn’t expect Stewart to suit up again behind a desk just yet, but HBO now believes the late-night veteran will return to active TV duty just in time for the 2016 election.

Among the great many losses ascribed to the passing of comedy legend Garry Shandling, the comedian’s revered HBO series The Larry Sanders Show had been absent from streaming availability on its home network. Shortly before his death however, Shandling completed negotiations to return The Larry Sanders Show to HBO’s library, according to reports.

Game of Thrones has seemingly already advanced to a point that odds and ends of George R.R. Martin’s as-yet-unpublished novels have perhaps been spoiled, while Season 6 stands to answer some of the series’ biggest questions ahead of readers. Not so, perhaps, as showrunners claim Season 6 won’t actually spoil the books, and is instead “quite divergent.”

Game of Thrones fans have surely taken stock of the series to date on the long road to Season 6, a stark reminder that each season suffers at least one episode or storyline not worth the trouble. Not so for Season 6, apparently, as bosses Dan Weiss and David Benioff promise “this season there is not a weak episode.”

Game of Thrones has taken the spoiler warnings against Season 6 far more seriously than guest star Ian McShane, who gladly confirms his appearance involves the return of a fan-favorite character. We had our likely guesses, sure, but now McShane almost explicitly confirms which of Game of Thrones’ fallen will return to hound us once more.
