Cancer touches lives in ways that are often beyond words.

I lost my daddy over 20 years ago to Cancer.  He was a young man of only 63 when he passed.  He was so full of life and made everyone around him smile.  My daughter lost her father in law, a week before her wedding to his son. My first Spirit of Survival walk was for my dad.

This year however, I walked for a different reason.  I walked for the ones that are surviving everyday. For my friend Phyllis who battled breast cancer and won, for Angela Cordes who is fighting the fight this very moment. And I walked for my girls, Whitney and McKayla that they may never have to face this disease themselves.  This year the 3 of us walked in 3 different walks to support  the Spirit of Survival and it meant so much to me that they were involved.
