Week #3 Virtual Car Show Winner- Bob Caillet

Bob and his brother Dick Caillet were given this 1941 Chevy Business Coupe back in 1962 by their uncle Jim when they were young farm boys in Akron, OH. The old coupe was in pretty rough shape due to the severe winters in the north. After they got past some missing chrome, all the body rust, a pretty rough interior, and the holes in the floor they felt it was the most beautiful car they had ever seen. The car was stored in Ohio for many years.

Bob and his wife Beth relocated to Lawton, OK with Goodyear in 1978. The car was brought to Lawton in 2000 when the restoration began. After four years Bob had the work nearly completed. On a Saturday morning in January 2004 Beth screamed "Bob the garage is on fire." By the time Bob got to the garage the project was severely damaged. Due to the love for the car by Bob and his family the work started over. By the end of the next year Bob had the old car back on the road and looking better than ever, The car has been on the show circuit for several years and has had a good bit of success.

"I spent many days, nights, and weekends on this project that kept me from other things, " Bob said, "i guess that is what you call a labor of love."
