The 2017 CMA Awards will take place on Nov. 8, but before the stars align at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for the 51st annual event, The Boot wants to know who our readers think will go home with the awards in each of the show’s 12 categories. We’ve rounded up the details on all of the nominees, from Musician of the Year to Entertainer of the Year, and we want your input.

The CMA Awards’ Musical Event of the Year category captures some of the most powerful collaborations between country music stars and both their country colleagues and talents from other genres.

The year 2017 has included the deaths of a number of big country names, one of the greatest being country legend Glen Campbell. Before he died, Campbell was joined by Willie Nelson for “Funny How Times Slips Away” on his final album, Adios, one of this year’s Musical Event of the Year nominees at the CMAs.

Kenny Chesney hit it out of the park when he decided to feature pop star Pink on his single “Setting the World on Fire;” in fact, Chesney actually delayed the release of his album Cosmic Hallelujah so that he could include the power ballad. Along among this year’s Musical Event of the Year nominees is “Kill a Word,” Eric Church‘s song featuring Rhiannon Giddens; the duo gave a memorable performance of the song at the 2016 CMA Awards.

Powerhouse duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill received Musical Event of the Year nomination for their song “Speak to a Girl,” an intimate duet that nods to their roles not only as husband and wife but also as the parents of three daughters. And lastly, “Craving You” by Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris is nominated for Musical Event of the Year — no wonder, since the duet made big waves this year.

Who do you think should win Musical Event of the Year at the 2017 CMA Awards? Vote in the poll below as often as once per hour through the end of the day on Nov. 5; The Boot will use the answers in our readers vs. staff predictions a few days prior to the ceremony.

The 2017 CMA Awards are scheduled to air on ABC on Nov. 8, at 8PM ET; the ceremony will take place live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the ceremony for the 10th year in a row.

The Boot will be staying up late covering the most buzzed-about winners, fashion and moments at the 2017 CMA Awards. Readers can watch along with us by checking back to TheBoot.com for the latest CMAs headlines, liking The Boot on Facebook and following The Boot on Twitter.
