A Snyder, OK resident was struck and killed by an automobile while walking along Highway 183. The man, 63-year old William "Bud" Snyder had walked to the Waterhole Convenience Store, located on the southeast corner of Hwy 183 and Country Road 1620. Surveillance video shows the victim, 63-year old William "Bud" White, entering the store and then exiting a short time later.

According to witnesses, White was struck by 1990's model Chevy Blazer when he stepped into the intersection in front the market. White is the father of country singer Bryan White, a Snyder native who had a string of hits in the 90's including the #1 hits "Rebecca Lynn", "Someone Else's Star" and "Sittin' On Go".

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Oklahoma State Medical Examiner were called to the scene to assist with the investigation. The name of the driver is not being released at this time, and the driver is reported to be cooperating with the police investigation.
