Carrie Underwood to Star on Live Television in ‘The Sound of Music,’ Says She’s Nervous

Carrie Underwood is no stranger to live television. She was on American Idol and has been on award shows and many other events, but one thing she's never done has her feeling a little nervous.

Carrie says she is nervous about the upcoming live version of 'The Sound of Music.'  Not that live TV is new for Carrie by any stretch, but for her and the remaining cast, none have ever undertaken any thing like this before. She will be playing the part of Maria

The special 'The Sound of Music' will be broadcast on NBC on December 5.

If you like Broadway musical productions, Carries says it will be just like that, except right in your living room. She will also be hosting the CMA awards in November, so if you are a true Carrie Underwood fan, you can set your DVR and watch again and again.
