Thursday (April 4) is going to be one heck of a country music-filled night on 'American Idol.' Not only is Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood taking the stage to debut her new single 'See You Again' for the 'Idol' faithful, but former contestant Casey James will be on hand for the live premiere of his new song 'The Good Life' during the very same episode.

'The Good Life' is James' third single from his self-titled debut.

"This is a dream come true," the singer -- who competed during Season 9 and ultimately placed third -- says. It's truly full circle for him to make a reprise on the show as a successful artist, as opposed to a competitor waiting to hear his audience-voted fate. He continues, "To be returning to the show as an artist, to sing and play music that I wrote, co-produced and poured myself into, it doesn’t get any better for me! I think ‘The Good Life’ is such a fitting song too."

It's always a treat to see former 'Idol' famers return to where it all began for them, especially for the fans that have been watching the show since its inception. It proves there is indeed life after the show. On April 4 8 PM on Fox, two country singers from different eras of the series will be back to do their thing.

It's a must-watch.
