Today we feature a group featuring four powerhouse vocalists, songwriters and multi-instramentalists, who mix incredible energy, unique harmonies and hard driving melodies into a blend that Rolling Stone magazine called one of the "10 New Country Artists You Need To Know".

Farewell Angelina is a group of four talented ladies who came together in 2014, when singer, fiddle player and songwriter Nicole Witt teamed with fiddle/mandolin virtuoso Andrea Young, along with noted harmony

singer Lisa Torres. A chemistry between the trio was quickly evident, and their creative drive and torrid performances caught the attention of producers Jen Ketner and Keith Stegall, best known for their work with the Zac Brown Band. The trio went into the studio, but knew something was missing. That certain something was guitarist and vocalist Lauren Lucas, a Tony and ACM Award nominee, who joined the group in 2016.

In between the production of the group's self-titled debut EP, they have spent 2015 and 2016 on a nationwide radio tour, sandwiched in between playing at the ACM All-Star Jam, CMA Fest and Creek Fest. The quartet's writing and performance credentials read like a who's who in music: they have written songs for artists including George Strait and Lee Brice, backed Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Jana Kramer, Frankie Ballard, and Jerrod Niemann, and have served as the opening act for Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts and Dierks Bentley.

The group's resume speaks for itself, and their reviews have likened them to the Dixie Chicks, in terms of their drive and ability. The lead single from their debut EP is in our spotlight today. Farewell Angelina and "If It Ain't With You" is today's Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
