Today's catch of the day comes from a multi-award winning duo, who take their name from the state boarder line that they grew up on each side of.

Florida-Georgia Line was formed in Nashville in 2010, after Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley met at Bellmont University in 2008. Kelley transferred to Belmont after originally attending Florida State University on a baseball scholarship. The duo met through a campus worship group, and following graduation, decided to give themselves two years to succeed in the music industry. They became roommates, working several odd jobs to pay the bills, continuing to play clubs on the weekend. In 2010, the pair recorded and digitally distributed their first EP, Anything Like Me.

The pair were eventually discovered by producer Joey Moi at a county fair, and the three began working in the studio together. FGL spent days polishing songs, which were collected to produce the duo's second EP, It'z Just What We Do in 2012. Major labels became interested when the song "Cruise" appeared on satellite radio. The EP featured original recordings of "Cruise" and "Get Your Shine On" as well as the title track and two other songs.

The EP and the attention it was receiving led to a deal with Republic Nashville/Big Machine Label Group. The pair's first full album Here's To The Good Times, was released in Decembery of 2012, featuring re-recorded versions of tracks from the EP, and became one of the top selling albums of 2013. On December 15th of 2012, the album's first single "Cruise" hit the #1 spot on the country chart and began a record-shattering run; during three different #1 runs, the single amassed 24 weeks at the top of the chart, more than any other single in history, regardless of genre. A remixed version of the song, featuring rapper Nelly also reached number one on the pop chart.

"Get Your Shine On", the album's second single, climbed to #1 in May of 2013, but did not sustain the way its predecessor did. The album's next three singles, "Round Here", "Stay" and their collaboration with Luke Bryan "This Is How We Roll" all went to #1. The pairing with Bryan did not appear on original releases of the album, instead appeared on the deluxe edition of Here's to the Good Times.

Kelley and Hubbard released their second album, Anything Goes, in August of 2014, releasing the single "Dirt" one week later. This single, as well as the next two from the album, "Sun Daze" and the current number one single "Sippin' On Fire" all reached the top of the country chart. The album's title track is in today's spotlight as it is released the fourth single from the album. Your Catch of the Day, Florida-Georgia Line and "Anything Goes", new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
