On Friday's during this Holiday season, we will be bringing you the best of the new holiday songs, hoping to not only add them to your holiday play list this year, but for years to come. Today we bring you the pairing of a country music superstar who is forging a solo career after being one half of one of the most popular duos in country music history, and a Tony award winning singer, songwriter and actress, but who may be best known for being the voice of Disney royalty. They team up for a Christmas classic that has welcomed unusual pairings in the past.

Jennifer Nettles rose to prominence in Nashville as one-half (or one-third) of the group Sugarland. The pairing of Nettles and Christian Bush has officially been "on hiatus" since 2012, and a visit to their website gives links to both artists solo websites right up front on the main page. Nettles has released two solo studio albums, 2014's That Girl and her recent release, Playing With Fire, which was released in May. The latest album featured her single "Unlove You", which peaked at #24 on the Billboard Country Singles chart.

During Sugarland's hiatus, Nettles has discovered her passion for acting, first appearing on Broadway in 2014 in the musical Chicago. In 2015 she won the coveted role of Dolly Parton's mother, opposite Ricky Schroeder in the acclaimed TV Christmas movie Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors. Nettles reprised the role for the 2016 sequel Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors. She has also had a guest appearance on the TV series Underground.

Idina Menzel has been well-known on Broadway since she originated the role of Maureen Johnson, in the award-winning musical Rent in 1996.  The role would earn Menzel her first Tony Award nomination; in 2005, she reprised the role in the film adaptation. Menzel followed her Rent run on Broadway, by taking on the role of Elphalba in Wicked, for which she would win the Tony Award for Best Actress in A Musical in 2003. She was also nominated for the award a third time in 2014 for If/Then. From 2010 to 2013 she appeared on the TV series Glee, as Shelby Corchoran, but will probably be forever best known for providing both the speaking and singing voice of Queen Elsa in the 2013 Disney film Frozen, for which she would win a Grammy Award for the movie soundtrack.

The pair has come together for a track from Nettle's brand new Christmas album, To Celebrate Christmas, appearing together on the recent TV Special A CMA Country
