Our featured artist today comes by his competitive spirit as the son of a hit songwriter who had to make the choice between athletics and music. He is a self taught guitarist and drummer who wakes up every morning striving to write the "perfect" song.

Tucker Beathard is a second generation singer and songwriter, influenced by artists as varied as Led Zepplin, the Eagles and Hank Williams, Jr. He has carried on the "family tradition" from his father Casey Beathard, who wrote "Don't Blink" for Kenny Chesney and "Homeboy" for Eric Church, among other country hits. Tucker was on his way to hardball stardom, but gave up a baseball scholarship to concentrate on songwriting writing. His songs concentrate on relationships, but Tucker manages to use his life experiences to put a unique twist on his songs.

Whether its using a football game metaphor for a relationship or a twist of a phrase regarding a break-up, Tucker Beathard is a unique writer and performer, treating each song as his canvas, detailing who he is as both a writer and a performer. Having shared the stage with artists like Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert, Bentley has learned to give his all and the audience will give back in droves.
