Well, it's looking like we'll be losing yet another business in the mall AKA Central Plaza. Pretty soon there won't be anything left, just empty spaces. We just heard the unfortunate news that the Lawton Great American Cookies will be closing.

You may, or may not have heard all the rumors about Chick-Fil-A in the Central Plaza in downtown Lawton closing down, but it's true. Sadly they'll be closing this Friday (12-31-21) permanently. Time is running out and so is the food so if you haven't said your goodbyes yet you'll want to stop by ASAP while you still can.

Looks like Lawton, Fort Sill will be getting a new internet and cable company sometime in 2022.

It looks like we'll be getting a new social media platform sometime soon. I'm sure you've heard all the rumors and speculation over the past year or so about Donald Trump creating his own social media platform. Well, it's true and it'll be launching early next year. As you can imagine it's causing quite a bit of controversy.

Well, we finally know what they're doing with the old K-Mart building on 38th Street in Lawton, OK. There have been rumors galore and everyone's been taking a guess as to what will be going into the location.

The site is located between the Cache Road Square shopping center and Boot Barn. They're busy building something, so what's it going to be? We're all anxiously awaiting word with official confirmation.

The open lot next to the Ez-Go #27 at 3164 N.W. Cache Road has been purchased and they're building something at that location. They've been working on the site non-stop for the past several weeks. The BIG QUESTION people are asking is: "What will it be and when will it be open?"

Today's the day, get your $1.00 hotdogs at any Lawton, Fort Sill Sonic Drive-In. We loaded up the truck and headed to Sonic for lunch this afternoon and took full advantage of this limited-time offer. I hate to admit it, but after 3 hotdogs with tatter tots, I'm stuffed.

A downtown Lawton business is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month. Massad's Gift Shop located at 413 S.W. C Avenue opened back in 1981 and has been serving the Lawton, Fort Sill community ever since.

So what new businesses or company is coming to Lawton, Fort Sill? If you've been on the Westside lately you've probably seen all the construction on Quannah Parker Trailway next to the Tractor Supply at 7402 N.W. Sun Blvd.
