Medicine Park has plans to pay tribute to our troops this weekend with their latest concert event and a fun run dedicated to those that serve and protect, and to help those fighting the fight against cancer.

Sergeant Stephanie Crawford from the Lawton Police Department stopped by the KLAW101 EZ Go studios Tuesday morning to hang out with the Morning Crew and talk the 9th annual Cops And Kids Benefit Poker Run.

On Saturday, May 6th, you can take a Ride To Remember benefiting the Alzheimer's Foundation, by joining the Ride To Remember Poker Run, kicking of at Wind River Harley Davidson in Lawton. Registration starts at 9:30 Saturday morning, with the first bikes pulling out of Wind River at 10 am.

A good time for children of all ages will be found this weekend at the Comanche County Fairgrounds, site of the 59th annual Lawton Noon Lions Club Carnival, which will kick-off today and run through Sunday.

Its going to be a busy weekend in the Lawton/Ft Sill area, and one of the top activities will be the 6th annual Trykes 'N Treads Car Show, coming to the Great Plains Coliseum this Saturday and Sunday.

There are certain things that with the coming of spring you can't count on. Income taxes, rain showers, flowers and baseball are some of those.

On Saturday, students from the mentor program at Eisenhower High School in Lawton decided to raise money for a good cause and have some fun while they were doing it.

The baseball and softball programs at Fletcher High School will be holding a fundraising, Indian Taco lunch/dinner on Sunday, February 26th at the high school cafeteria, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The high school is located at 108 W. Hornaday in Fletcher.

Last year's "Painting With A Purpose" event was a great success for the United Way of Southwest Oklahoma, so they have decided to do it again in 2017.

If you have a child that plays Soccer at the Big Green, you already know the condition of the parking lot.  Parents of the Lawton Soccer Club decided to help out.
