Daily Digital Download: Taylor Swift ‘Shake it Off’ [VIDEO]

Disclaimer: This is NOT COUNTRY! Not even close, but it IS Taylor Swift and it is a great video showcasing some great dancing and many many different characters for Taylor.

Taylor Swift's live stream went down yesterday, and like everyone expected, she announced details of a new album.  It's called "1989", and it's out October 27th.  One more thing:  It's NOT a country album.  Not even close.

She said,

"For the record, this is my very first documented, official pop album."

Some might say that Taylor's always been more pop than country, but this time out she didn't even try to mix it up.   She added,

"I woke up every single day I was recording this record not wanting, but needing, to make a new style of music than I'd ever made before."

That new style is actually old because the album was inspired by the music of the late 1980s, which is why it's called "1989".

She said,

"I loved the chances they were taking.  It was apparently a time of limitless potential.  The idea of that was so inspiring to me."
