I would assume that most Oklahomans share my thought process on Daylight Savings.

I think we should pick one or the other, standard time or DST, and stick to it. I don't care which one we land on, but the goal is to stop the hour-forward/hour-back shenanigans.

If I had my choice, we would remain on Daylight Savings year round so we could have that extra hour of light at the end of the day. Most people argue that the earlier sunrise of standard time during the winter is necessary, but darkness at 5 PM sucks and the amount of kids walking to school in 2024 has to be at an all-time low since Millennials and Zoomers generally smother their children with codependence.

Even though most states have been making a case to Congress about ditching Daylight Savings permanently, it has stalled and taken a backseat like everything else in Washington that isn't directly related to elections and raising funds. DST is an issue of the poors and it won't be worth their time until they need the votes again.

When does Daylight Savings start in 2024?

Daylight Savings will officially start on Sunday, March 10th at 2 AM.

From Time and Date:

When local standard time is about to reach Sunday, March 10, 2024, 2:00:00 am clocks are turned forward 1 hour to Sunday, March 10, 2024, 3:00:00 am local daylight time instead. Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on Mar 10, 2024 than the day before. There will be more light in the evening.

How long with DST last in 2024?

The clocks will fall back and turn back to normal on Sunday, November 3rd at 2 AM, adding that hour of daylight back to the early portion of the average day.

Oklahoma's Highest Rated Steakhouses

Being a Top-5 cattle producer, you might expect to find a great steak on the menu of nearly every restaurant in the state, but life is never that simple or easy. The biggest hurdle isn't a lack of steak options on menus, it's the variation of personal tastes that drives reputations and reviews, but here are the steakhouses most Oklahomans can agree on.
