Dolly Goes Gold – Today In Country Music History [VIDEO]

Dolly Parton earns the first gold album of her career, with her album Here You Come Again. The album, Parton's 19th studio album, featured the first cross-over success of her career, the title track, which not only reached #1 on the country chart, but went to #3 on the pop chart and won a Grammy Award for Country Song Of The Year.
The album also featured the singles "Two Doors Down" (#1 Country and #19 Pop charts), "It's All Wrong, But It's All Right" (#1 country) and "Sweet Music Man" (#9 country), which was written by Kenny Rogers.
The album resided at #1 on the Country Albums chart for 9 weeks. It has since been certified platinum by the RIAA.
