In his fourth single from the album The Outsiders, Eric Church takes a fond look back. But if you think "Talladega" is about NASCAR, the singer says think again.

“It has nothing to do with that,” Church explains. “That is nothing more than the avenue through which the commentary took place. It’s really about life. NASCAR was as hot as any sport back in the ’90s, and it was a thing where a group of your buddies go take stuff, tents, camp out, stay a few days, walk back and forth to the track. We actually lost the damn car, you know; you’re so far away,” the singer adds. “I can’t tell you who won the race, but I could tell you all the experiences we had in a two- or three-day period.”

Church is currently on a break from his Outsiders World Tour, but he will head back out back on the road after the holidays, with stops that will include January 14th at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, with special guests Halestorm.
