People to People Event Saturday

Lawton, Oklahoma, September 8, 2014 – Three amazing entertainers are being featured at the Fairmont District Stage at Railroad and F Streets, Saturday the 13th to raise money for two Lawton students. Jordyn Alexander, of MacArthur High and Averie Davis at Lawton High, are raising funds to travel to Australia in the summer of 2015 to study many aspects of life in the Land down under.
Entertainment begins at 6pm featuring comedian Willis Lusk, rap artist Jordan Miller and Dallas singer Eric Jones. This family friendly event will end at 8pm, after which Delegate Leader, Pam Mindemann, and students will be available for discussion.
Tickets are available at the gate only and are $10 or $5 if you bring a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to Something to Share, a local food distribution point.
Both Alexander and Davis will be studying Education, history, visiting with members of Parliament, learning about biology in the Great Barrier Reef, visiting with Aboriginal leaders and touring the Sydney Opera House.
People to People sends students to other countries as Student Ambassadors to create goodwill and peace among leaders of tomorrow.
Gloria Alexander, promoter for the event, reminds that this is a family-friendly event, and that children are welcome.
