Gordon Lightfoot ‘Rainy Day People’ KLAW Classic

Celebrating the rain today with our KLAW Classic!  Gordon Lightfoot reached the #1 spot on the Easy Listening charts with 'Rainy Day People', and made it into the top 50 on the country charts.  Lightfoot actually did reach the top of the country charts as a songwriter with Marty Robbins' 'Ribbon of Darkness', and with other songs that he wrote.  Artists like Toby Keith, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Jr., Glen Campbell, and Anne Murray all recorded Gordon Lightfoot songs.  In fact, Bob Dylan called him one of his favorite songwriters.  Here's your KLAW Classic for a rainy Wednesday.
