Local Volunteer Honored By The Hospital Volunteers of Oklahoma [PHOTO]

Late last month, the Hospital Volunteers of Oklahoma awarded 22 deserving volunteers with the 2013 Volunteers with Spirit award.  The award is given to hospital volunteers who exemplify the spirit of service and have a passion for the work they do for their organizations. Among the winners is Lawton's own, Dorothy Hicks.

Dorothy Hicks volunteers her time at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, where she has served for over 20 years.  Prior to her volunteer work, Ms. Hicks spent her time instructing data processing at Cameron University.

Each volunteer auxiliary at Oklahoma hospitals was given the opportunity to choose one person for this award.  Congratulations Dorothy!  You inspire us!
