Maria Von Trapp dies at 99

The Sound of Music.  One of the most loved musicals around features an Austrian family in exile after German occupation. That family - the von Trapps.

Maria Franziska von Trapp the last surviving singer from the von Trapp family singers passed away last week at the age of 99.  She was the 3rd of 7 Children of Georg von Trapp and the former nun, Maria (played most recently by Carrie Underwood on live television).

Von Trapp is survived by an adopted son, and 3 half siblings.
