Nancy Predicts Who She Thinks Will Win the 2013 CMA Awards

You know where I will be parked on Wednesday night! The couch at The Mace Place. The 47th Annual CMA Music Awards will be handed out on ABC beginning at 7 PM.  Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will once again host the ceremony.  Here are my predictions on who will win in the major categories...

New Artist of the Year

The nominees are Lee Brice, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves. I'm choosing Florida Georgia Line for this award. They have been on fire this year and keep themselves in the spotlight as much as possible.

Vocal Duo of the Year

The nominees are Big and Rich (what?!?) Florida Georgia Line, Love and Theft, Sugarland (did they even do anything this year?), Civil Wars (who?) and Thompson Square.

This one is going to Florida Georgia Line. Again, on fire this year.

Vocal Group of The Year

The nominees are Eli Young Band, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band.

This is a tough category because I really want The Zac Brown Band to win but I will have to go with The Band Perry on this one. Wow! They have all done really well this year. This one is going to surprise a lot of people I think.

Male Vocalist of the Year

The nominees are Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. Again, a tough one. but I think Luke Bryan will take the honor away from Blake this year.

Female Vocalist of the Year

The nominees are Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.  All these women are fantastic but I'm going with Miranda Lambert again this year.

Entertainer of the Year

The BIG category - The nominees are Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, George Strait and Taylor Swift. This is a tough one, I would think that Blake Shelton would take it again this year but I'm going to go with George Strait on this one. He's sold out every concert for his "Cowboy Rides Away" tour so it HAS to go to him. Right?
