Patty Loveless ‘Blame It On Your Heart’ K-LAW Classic [VIDEO]
Patty Lee Ramey had the #1 country song 20 years ago today – June 19th, 1993. We know her better by another last name. Patty first came to Nashville when she was 14. Her brother was a producer for The Porter Wagoner Show and introduced her to Porter, who introduced her to Dolly Parton. Dolly, like Porter, was impressed by the young girl’s talent, but Dolly suggested that Patty go back to her home in Kentucky and finish school – which she did – and during the summers she would hit the road with Porter & Dolly. After graduating high school in 1975, Patty once again made her way to Nashville and soon began working with The Wilburn Brothers on the road. She emerged as a solo country artist in late 1986 and has since put more than forty singles on the country chart, including five #1’s. The third of those five #1’s happened 20 years ago with a song called ‘Blame It On Your Heart’, your K-LAW Classic from Patty Lee Ramey, a.k.a Patty Loveless. By the way, you may recognize actor David Keith in the video below.
