Have you ever wanted to go back in time? You might not be able to actually time travel (yet), but if you have $600k lying around, then you can at least travel back to the 1980s (in your mind) in the original Delorean from ‘Back to the Future.’
Musician/comedian Matt “The Mouth” Mulholland was able to recreate the entire audio track from the famous skateboard chase scene in ‘Back to the Future’ using only the power of his own voice.
Mulholland voiced the dialogue, the sound effects and the background music from the scene on different tracks and synced them to the video. As you can see (and hear) below, the results are very impressive:
We recently told you about the Nike Air Mags, the ‘Back to the Future 2′-inspired shoes that pay homage to the footwear sported by Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly in the blockbuster sequel.
Now, Nike has confirmed the Mags are real, but good luck getting your hands on a pair: In a ’BTTF’-inspired promo (which featured cameos from Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown, Bill Hader as a shoe store staffer and Kevin Durant as a confused customer), we learn that only 1,500 pairs of the shoes have been produced and they’ll be going to the highest bidders.
When ‘Back to the Future 2′ premiered way back in 1989, its vision of 2015 was exciting: Marty McFly got to enjoy inventions like the hoverboard and self-lacing sneakers. The hoverboard has yet to fully materialize, but we can at least be excited that Nike might be manufacturing those shoes of the future someday soon.
