Last week's KLAW Country Song Showdown wasn't close. Big & Rich's "That's Why I Pray" beat out Love And Theft's "Angel Eyes" by a 3 to 1 margin. This week we put Dierks Bentley head-to-head with the Eli Young Band.

Will Hoge may not be country, but he’s found a home there. The hit singer-songwriter penned Eli Young Band‘s single, ‘Even if It Breaks Your Heart’ — which is a smash at country radio — and he just wrapped up a run opening the Country and Cold Cans Tour with both EYB and headliner Dierks Bentley.

This summer will be action-packed with all of the high-profile tours going on in country music. One of the most anticipated treks, however, is Rascal Flatts‘ American Band Tour, also featuring Eli Young Band, Little Big Town and Edens Edge.

Eli Young Band have literally seen their career catapult onto center stage in the past few months. After their single ‘Crazy Girl’ became their first No.1 hit, the four-man country outfit snagged an ACM Award for Song of the Year with the same smash hit, making an underdog story to be remembered. Earlier this year, Eli Young Band guitarist James Young was the final member of the group to walk down the aisle and say “I do.” Young wed his sweetie in an intimate outdoor ceremony on Feb. 4, with his fellow bandmates close by his side.

Mike Eli couldn’t have looked more shocked when cameras focused on him and his bandmates reacting after their name was read as Song of the Year winners at the 2012 ACM Awards. The Eli Young Band singer remained seated for a moment before realizing his time to thank the appropriate people behind ‘Crazy Girl’ was wasting away.

Eli Young Band has been explaining the band's name for years, but in case you didn't know, their fans pinned the name on them when founding members Mike Eli and James Young would play in college.  Now they've come up with a hilarious video to drive home the fact that Eli Young is a band, not a person.  Or at least not a real person.

For some country music fans, Eli Young Band is a new group of guys on the rise. What they may not know is that the band has been hard at work building their career for well over a decade, even though they just celebrated their first No. 1 single with ‘Crazy Girl.’

Sorry ladies, but the final bachelor of the Eli Young Band will officially be off the market in a little over a week. James Young, the band’s guitarist, is set to wed his longtime girlfriend on Saturday, Feb. 4.
