The highlight of every high school year is the end of year prom, and that time of year is almost upon us once again. The styles and the fashions worn are just as, if not more important, than the actual dance itself.

Remember when going to the prom meant buying a dress at J.C. Penny for, like, $50, picking up some heels at Nine West, and renting a tux with a loose collar at Men's Wearhouse?

When I was young (don't you love when a story starts that way), prom was pretty simple.  Girls would buy a dress and guys would rent a tux.  The guy would pick the girl up at her front door in either his beat up old pickup or maybe Dad let them borrow the car for the night.  They'd dance, drink punch, kiss goodnight and go home.
