The AmTryke Races are back again with its annual completion at the Central Mall sponsored by Mountain Metro AMBUCS. Pedaling with your hands and feet is not easy, trust me, I have been a participant for the past 8 years, but the race is so much fun.

AmTryke is open to the public and people from the entire Southwest Oklahoma sign up to participate. You can come and cheer the contestants on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Dillards Court at Central Mall; the event is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

The last several years the Fire Chief, police officers, Senators, representatives, and even your favorite radio hosts have signed up to race. We love to let loose and have fun, while we support a great organization such as Mountain Metro AMBUCS. The non-profit charity raises help for mobility and independence for people with disabilities. They also sponsor community services such as ramp building, award scholarships to people whose goals are to become physical therapists. I have always enjoyed talking to Mountain Metro AMBUCS representative because you can tell how much they care about the work they do to help others. If you wish to learn more about the organization they would love to have you at their weekly meetings, every Tuesday at noon, at the Best Western Hotel and Convention Center. You can find more information about them on their web site.

Now, let the race begin!
