Thomas Rhett, one of country music's hottest newcomers, has reached the summit this week and scored his first ever No. 1 single on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart with 'It Goes Like This.'

Rhett's top-selling song has almost 1 million iTunes downloads to date, and is the title track from his debut album set to be released on October 29.

“I am so humbled and honored to have a No. 1 at country radio with this song. The response from fans and radio has been overwhelming,” said Thomas Rhett. “This is just one of those very special songs the moment I heard it I knew it would be a game-changer. It has been incredible to hear people singing the words back to me from the audience every night.”

'It Goes Like This' hitting No. 1 has not only been a game-changer for Rhett, but also a history maker. Thomas Rhett is the first solo artist in the history of the charts whose father also had a No. 1 single as a solo artist. Thomas Rhett's fahter, Rhett Akins, topped the charts the week of August 3 back in 1996 with his song 'Don't Get Me Started.'

Thomas Rhett's well earned success comes just in time for him to hit the road for the Taste of Country Christmas Tour, his first headlining tour dates. The first three stops on his 11-city tour are Abiline, Texas on November 7th followed by Wichita Falls, Texas on November 8th and Lawton, Oklahoma on November 9th.
