This will be my third year to participate in the Spirit of Survival training.  My second as a trainer, and my first year with a brand new knee.

Honestly, I am looking forward to seeing just how much better I feel walking on this new knee.  After knee replacement in January, and the crazy weather in May and June, I just haven't even gotten out and started an exercise program like I should.  Sure, I did the physical therapy with a great bunch of guys and girls at Physical Therapy Solutions, but now it's time to do it on my own.

What better way to begin that with a group of others with great walking goals?  The training program for the 5K Walk says that today is the rest day.  I think I will like this day best of all!  The purpose of the plan is so that you will not overdue it on day one and then quit! If you haven't begun yet, it's not too late!  Click here to print your own training plan for the 5KWalk.  The first group session will be Saturday, July 18th at 7am at Dicks Sporting Goods, 261 NW 2nd Street in Lawton.
