Even though Tim McGraw grew up in Louisiana and his wife Faith Hill in Mississippi, their food tradition for Christmas Eve sounds more Brooklyn than southern.

According to Tim, Christmas Eve, we always have homemade pasta, and that's sort of a tradition that I had growing up. My mother's maiden name is D'Agostino so it comes from an Italian family on her side.

It  has continued since I've been married, and we look forward to that every Christmas Eve. Pasta dinner and then getting up Christmas morning and cooking eggs with spaghetti sauce, which is sort of a cool deal at our house.

What non-traditional food does your family eat every year at Christmas?
