Who Knew That White is the Most Popular Car Color?

My dad was a mechanic, so I drove lots of battered cars when I was just starting out, but now that I am an adult, I get to choose what kind and color of car that I drive. Well, I guess I am always a day late and a dollar short when it come to being one of the cool kids! My last car was white.

According to PPG Industries, the company that supplies automotive paints, Silver has slipped to second place as the most popular car color. As a photographer, I always thought of white as the absence of color, not as a statement. But according to the survey, with the different shades of creamy to pearl, white has risen to the top color. Could be that it seems more high tech? Although, I am not sure how a car color can even be high tech! White remains the most popular color in Europe, and Asia as well.

I guess the good news is that the brown car that I drive now, is on the list of up and coming popular car colors that were shown at the annual color show for automakers. I just have to wait my turn!
