Taylor Swift Nominated for Best Original Song in 2020 Golden Globe Awards
Taylor Swift is among the 2020 Golden Globe Awards nominees. The country-turned-pop superstar scored a nomination for Best Original Song - Motion Picture when the Golden Globes nominees were announced on Monday morning (Dec. 9).
Swift is nominated for her song "Beautiful Ghosts," from the forthcoming motion picture version of Cats. She teamed with Andrew Lloyd Weber to write the song, and she also plays the role of Bombalurina in the film. Cats is set for release on Dec. 20, 2019.
This marks Swift's third nomination in this category. She was previously nominated for Best Original Song - Motion Picture for "Safe & Sound" in 2013 and "Sweeter Than Fiction" in 2014. "Safe & Sound" was a collaboration with the Civil Wars that appeared in The Hunger Games, while "Sweeter Than Fiction" appeared in the British film One Chance.
Swift is up against tough competition in 2020, squaring off against "I'm Gonna Love Me Again" from Rocketman, "Into the Unknown" from Frozen 2, "Spirit" from The Lion King and "Stand Up" from Harriet.

Keith Urban's wife, Nicole Kidman, is also a Golden Globe nominee is 2020. She's up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama for her role on Big Little Lies, and the series is also nominated for Best Television Series - Drama.
Voting members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will decide the winners in the 2020 Golden Globe Awards. The awards ceremony will air live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Jan. 5, 2020, on NBC, hosted for the fifth year in a row by Ricky Gervais.
