Couples Can Dance Together With Free Childcare In Lawton

As a Nana, I've been to my fair share of dance recitals in Lawton! Although most dance classes in town are for children, one local dance studio is now offering special ballroom dance classes for adults.

Lawton Ballet Theatre recently offered its first ever adult ballroom dance classes earlier this year, and are gearing up for a second session! And the best part, Lawton Ballet Theatre also offers free childcare so parents can take the class together.

Lawton Ballet Theatre's adult ballroom dance class will start February 28.

Lawton Ballet Theatre is currently accepting registrations for its next adult ballroom dancing class. The class will begin Saturday, February 28, and continue on March 7 and 21. All classes will be from 3-4:15 p.m. at Lawton Ballet Theatre, located at 3510 SW J Ave.

The class is for adults 18 and older. Cost is $100 per couple or $60 per individual. Added bonus is Lawton Ballet Theatre offers free childcare for parents enrolled in the class for ages three and older.

Lawton Ballet Theatre's next adult ballroom dance class will focus on the foxtrot.

There are several different dance styles within ballroom dance. During its next adult ballroom dance class, Lawton Ballet Theatre will teach beginner foxtrot. And for those who took the theatre's first adult ballet class, they can still sign up for this next class because the theatre will be teaching new material.
