American Idol – Get Ready for the Auditions Already?

The ink has not even died yet on Scotty McCreery's contract and folks over at Fox Network and American Idol already need a replacement. That's right. Already time again for the three judges (are they all going to be there?) to hit the road and listen to to thousands o0f hopeful wannabes. The pain of going through the process is just a daunting for the judges as it is the contestants.

We only get to see a small sampling of the "fun" they have when the show hits the air. The new season will not even start until January 2012. But if you would like to give it a shot and maybe follow in the foot steps of so many others, here is a schedule of locations and dates:

• Portland, Oregon, July 2, 2011
• San Diego, California, July 8, 2011
• Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jul 15, 2011
• Charleston, South Carolina, July 22, 2011
• Denver, Colorado, July 29, 2011
• Houston, Texas, August 26, 2011

The final auditions as you can see have a lengthy gap between Denver and Houston. Maybe if you don't cut it in Denver, take some time, fine tune and drive SE to Houston.
