Former U.S. President Barack Obama shared his annual summer playlist on Saturday (Aug. 24), and, unsurprisingly, it turns out he's got one of the hottest songs of the year in his collection. Lil Nas X's remix of "Old Town Road" with Billy Ray Cyrus made the cut.

"With summer winding down, here’s a sampling of what Michelle and I have been listening to — some new, some old, some fast, some slow. Hope you enjoy," Obama noted in an Instagram post.  "Old Town Road" ranks in at No. 40, sitting in with an eclectic mix of genres and artists, including such 2019 standouts as Lizzo and Shawn Mendes, and classic such as Van Morrison and the Rolling Stones.

While country music is otherwise not represented on Obama's list, he hasn't shied away from including country songs on his annual roundups, including some not-so-obvious choices in the genre. Last year, he put Ashley McBryde's "Girl Goin' Nowhere," Brandi Carlile's "Every Time I Hear That Song," and Anderson East's "King for a Day" as picks for summer jams.

The former president certainly isn't the only fan of Lil Nas X's hit. "Old Town Road," which has sparked ongoing discussion regarding its inclusion in the country genre, broke records by sitting atop the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks before becoming useated by Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" for the week of Aug. 24.
