Carrie Underwood always puts on a great show, no matter what. However, for her set at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City, NJ, Friday night (June 29), the singer got a little bit of good-luck vibes, in the form of a quick cuddle with son Isaiah right before stepping on stage.

About 30 seconds before stepping on stage, to be exact, as she explained in her caption to the cute photo. The shot captures a precious moment that proves it doesn't matter if Mom happens to be a world-famous superstar—she's always a mother first and foremost!

It also shows off how quickly her kiddo is growing. Isaiah turned 3 at the end of February, and he looks like he's definitely moving from baby to solid little boy stage. (His dad, retired NHL star Mike Fisher, is 6'1", so there's a good chance Isaiah may turn out pretty tall himself!)

Underwood was performing Friday as part of the Hard Rock's opening weekend, and as Isaiah's proud dad noted, it was their son's very first show.

"Izzy’s first show!” Fisher wrote on Instagram. “He’s proud of his momma!”

The new Atlantic City location has booked a variety of country acts on its upcoming live calendar, including Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Toby Keith, and more.

Underwood will release a new album, also titled Cry Pretty, on Sept. 14.
