Today's catch of the day comes from an up-and-coming singer/songwriter/guitarist who seems poised to make her break-through and become the new "bad girl" of country music.

Clare Dunn is about to break out like a wild fire and she is looking to burn up the country music scene. A sultry mix of country and rock, Clare was born on a farm in southeast Colorado near the Oklahoma panhandle, and Clare’s roots run deep in the heart of Dust Bowl country. Working cattle, hauling water, driving combines, tractors and eighteen wheelers were all a part of her everyday life.

When your closest neighbor is six miles away, and many hours are spent behind the wheel of a John Deere Tractor on the family farm, a work ethic becomes ingrained in your soul. During the miles burned up hauling water to cattle, Clare dreamed of creating her own music.

After graduating high school in a class of eight, Clare saw her chance to fully pursue her dream come true. After a brief college stint in Texas, she relocated to Nashville to attend Belmont College. Paying her own way by driving a silage truck for harvest through Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska, Dunn picked up a guitar for the first time determined to master both acoustic and electric guitars. She succeeded.

After graduating with honors, Clare signed her first publishing deal and hasn’t looked back. She stays involved with every aspect of the creative process, from writing her singles to playing guitars and singing background vocals, keeping Clare’s music a true representation of the things that make her who she is.

Dunn's debut single, 2013's "Get Out" did not make it to the Billboard Country chart, but it did make it to the independent Music Row Country Breakout chart. Dunn hit the chart as the highest debuting independent female in 10 years with the single; the song peaked at #15. Her follow up, the title track from he album Cowboy Side Of You also charted on the Music Row Country Breakout chart in 2014.

She has opened up for some of country's biggest stars, including Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Hank Jr., Jamey Johnson and others. She is currently preparing the release of her second, as yet unnamed album and we have got the first single from that project in our spotlight today. Clare Dunn and "Move On" is our Catch of the Day, new music you haven't heard, but you'll want to hear it again.
