Today we feature the latest from a trio that took 2016 off to work on some side project and reunited in 2017 stronger than ever. A group that originally came together as songwriters in Nashville, but soon found that their voices blended in a way that just couldn't be denied.

Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood were making music together long before moving to Nashville. The pair grew up together in Augusta, Georgia and at age 14 they wrote their first song together. While in high school, the duo would form a jazz band with Kelley's older brother, pop-star Josh Kelley, and after graduating from Lakeside High School in the near by town of Evans, GA, the pair went off to the University of Georgia in Athens, where Kelley earned a degree in Finance in 2004. After a short stint where Kelley worked as an accountant in his other brother John's construction company, Charles and Dave would meet up in Nashville in mid-2005 to concentrate on their writing.

In 2006, they met Hillary Scott, the daughter of session singer Linda Davis, who was best known for her #1 hit duet with Reba McEntire "Does He Love You?". Scott recognized Kelley from Myspace and began talking to him about writing together, and the trio soon began writing together, but quickly became aware of the unique sound of their blended voices. Quickly assuming the name Lady Antebellum, which comes from a distinctly southern architectural style that date to pre-Civil War times, they began performing in venues around Nashville before singing in July of 2007 with Capitol Records Nashville.

But it wouldn't be under the Capitol Records umbrella that Lady A would first come to the world's attention. Just after signing their deal, the trio was selected by Jim Brickman to replace Sara Evans to sing on his 2007 single "Never Alone". The song, originally recorded in 2006 with Evans on lead, would be released in February of that year and peak at #14 on the Adult Contemporary chart, and #1 on the US New Age Digital Songs chart and introduce the world to Lady Antebellum.

Including their most recent album, Heart Break, which was released June 9th, Lady Antebellum has released 6 studio albums and one holiday album, all with Capitol Records Nashville. And with the exception of the most recent release, all of their releases have achieved gold certification or better from the Recording Industry Association of America. The albums have produced 12 top hits, including 9 #1's (the trio was also featured on The Artists of Then, Now and Forever's debut #1 "Forever Country"), with the lead single from their most recent album, "You Look Good" peaking at #3 on the country chart.
